This is a favorite piece completed last week. Animals are a wonderful subject that I love to paint. I painted several birds over the last few years but until now, only one little piggy. That needed to change as I love pigs and this piece was so fun to merge both! I knew I needed special words for this and If Pigs Could Fly was easy as it is so popular but the second set of words came to me in the middle of the night! I know, crazy, huh!! Enjoy your day and soar your way to new heights!

Buttons and Tweed
This painting I just finished last week and gifted it to my wonderfully talented daughter. She launched her handmade specialty bag business in 2013 called Buttons and Tweed. The bag business along with everything else happening in her life; moving closer to us (which we love!), she started a new position in her career and just purchased a new condo! The painting is for her home studio. We are so very proud of all she has accomplished in the last nine months. Please visit her Buttons and Tweed blog and her facebook as well. Her bags are presently represented in a local gallery as well as her nearly ready to go Etsy Shop. Can you tell I’m pleased with it all…love her!
Finished Bigger!
Completed my Cityscape and photographed it outside this morning. I like photographing my art outside because the light is so much better. Feels good to have this bigger piece finished. It’s hanging presently in my dining room as I just wanted to look at it for a bit, decided to probably sell it. I’ve purchased some larger canvases and boards to continue creating on larger surfaces.
Have a great Sunday everyone and thanks for visiting my blog!
Walking Path
A new piece inspired by my recent effort to begin walking weekly with a friend. It’s been an amazing experience to share our walks, our conversations and the beauty that surrounds us. Last week we spied several different species of birds…so wonderful! I’ve titled this piece: Walking Path. Thank you for stopping by!
New Bird Painting!
This sweet little bird speaks to my heart and my dreams! Done on a 12 X 12″ gallery wrapped canvas. Acrylics, oil pastels, pen, ink, recycled papers and some textures added with random items…love using different items for texture…such as bubble wrap and shelf liner paper. Thicker sides finished as well so no framing required . I’m selling this piece for $60.00 plus shipping.
Details to buy this bird, please leave a comment for me…thank you!!

Dress Two
Second mixed-media painting of the dress collection. This is on a 6X6″ gallery wrapped canvas with finished sides. I made a silver wire flower, adding that to the sweetheart neckline. Added a row of beads to the waist. I’m finding myself wanting to paint on the larger canvas after finishing dress one on the 14×14″ canvas. Tomorrow maybe a day for canvas shopping!
